Inspection reports
Schools are currently inspected once every three years. The inspectors take account of pupils' academic and other achievements, the school's self-evaluation processes, and their first-hand observations and conversations with members of the school community.
An Ofsted inspection usually lasts two days, and the inspectors arrive with no more than two days' notice, so they see things as they are. In the case of church schools, the main inspection is followed by a one-day visit organised by the Diocese to inspect the ethos, RE and worship of the school.
St Mary's received an Ofsted inspection in September 2006. To read the report, please click here.
The associated SIAS (Church of England) inspection took place in October 2006. To read the report, please click here.
