As most members of the school know, Miss Rainbow, Mrs. Usher and mediators from last year have been training ten students from Years 5 & 6 to take on a very satisfying but responsible job… Being a mediator. Our job is to deal with any problems, no matter how many people involved! We WANT you to come to us, if it means a happier and safer playground. There’s no need to be nervous about telling us about your arguments. No matter what the problem is we promise you that we will always do our best to help.
We have a rota so that there are always TWO mediators on duty (unless in a room sorting out a problem). We will be wearing red caps and mediator badges so that we always stand out and you can always recognise us.
Please DON’T come to us with fake arguments as mediating is a serious subject. We will NOT tolerate it and Miss Rainbow will be told! But on the occasion when there is a real problem, please come to us as soon as possible so that we can help prevent the situation from getting worse.
